School Shows
“Every student should experience Rhythm Interactive and every teacher should witness the joy of their students’ accomplishments.”
“Every school should book a Rhythm Interactive show. It’s a great community experience for all involved. Try them (we have…three times!). You won’t be disappointed.”

We offer three fun filled educational workshops that fully involve your students and teachers. Our Icebreaker, Drum dance workshop and Teacher drum workshop shows connect people through an experience where the audience becomes the stage.
What we do
Our team comes to your school anywhere in the country and can cater to any number of students. During our drum show each student is given an African styled hand drum and not a word is spoken until the end as part of our signature theme “Action speaks louder than words”.
Relevant themes and parallels with the show
Besides a fantastic experience filled with fun and laughter; Our shows also carry relevant themes and reflect parallels that can be correlated back to the class room.
The most relevant and frequently drawn parallel is “Action speaks louder than words”; Our shows let you experience how much you can actually understand and carry out when communication is entirely through mime.
At one point during the show the audience is divided into groups, irrespective of their musical background or percussion experience, and each group is shown a simple beat. Together, with several simple beats performed simultaneously, a beautiful rhythm is created.
Creating unity like this can be directly related to “marching to the beat of the same drum”.
After a show, we frequently receive feedback from students and teachers like: “I was amazed how you managed to get us all to do these things without saying one single word”.
With some clear leadership from the Rhythm Interactive facilitator, the audience understands what they have to do because we keep it simple. This can also be linked to the class room environment — “with some clear direction and guidance; and some added fun into the mix, together as one, we can all achieve our goals”.
